The most prominent feature of the Fluke T5-1000 is its fixed-jaw clamp which can slot easily around wires to take measurements for AC current. A simple dial is used to operate the device whilst the large ‘HOLD’ button activates the data hold function. All results are shown on the digital screen and there is an LED warning light for when dangerous voltage is detected. To use, simply select ohms, volts or current mode and the tester will do the rest. This tester comes with TWO sets of detachable probes – one set complies with the UK GS38 regulations. Some of the cheaper non-UK versions may not have these probes included with the tester.
