About this deal

One of the major downsides for high-end graphics tablets for artists in the earlier stages of their career is the price, and Huion is cheerfully filling this gap in the market.

The Kamvas 24 Plus box front has the now familiar Huion branding, with the product photo sitting on the right, with the Huion logo and product description on the left.

North America

As previously mentioned, this is a ‘2K’ QHD resolution screen with a 2560 x 1440 pixel count. It also boasts a 1200:1 Contrast Ratio and 140% sRGB/97% NTSC Colour Gamut, via the use of its ‘Quantum Dots’ technology. It supports 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and 60° of tilt – this is hardly worth mentioning anymore as this is the new ‘standard’ for nearly every pen from every tablet company now! 😊 There are two different screen textures available in the Kamvas 24 Series. The cheapest of the three tablets, the Huion Kamvas 24, comes with an anti-glare matte film. The other varieties (the Huion Kamvas 24 Plus and the Huion Kamvas 24 Pro) both feature etched anti-glare glass. While both screens are a pleasure to draw on, the anti-glare film does catch the nib slightly more than the glass surface. A fully laminated screen can minimize cursor movement, and a chemically etched glass can lighten the glare and provide a pen-to-paper drawing experience.

Application of quantum dot technology not only enables srgb color gamut and vivid presentation but also minimizes the release harmful blue light. One of the leading manufacturers of graphics tablets, HUION, recently launched not one, but three new 24” pen displays; the Kamvas 24, Kamvas 24 Plus and the Kamvas Pro 24 (4K). It’s the Huion Kamvas 24 Plus, with its 2.5K QHD Resolution screen and PenTech 3.0 stylus technology that gets the MyTabletGuide review treatment today… The software is nice and simple to have a poke around in – you can map the working area to any display, should you have a multi monitor setup and change the functionality of the pen buttons. You shall make sure that the contents of works uploaded do not violate laws and regulations, contain no illegal or harmful factors of violent, pornographic and reactionary nature, or infringe any legal right of any third party. The HUION Kamvas 24 Plus works with the following OS’s: Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.12 or later and Android 6.0 or later. I’ve been impressed with previous, smaller HUION tablets in the past and was keen to see what they can do with a tablet of this 24” size, especially with a 2K, or QHD, resolution! Enhanced pen technology of the digital pen PW517, developed based on PenTech3.0, ensures that users have a more stable drawing experience and that the lines created can be displayed organically and accurately with 8192 pen pressure levels. Most artists will have a preference for a smoother or rougher surface, although the difference is slight. Combining the matte film with a felt nib is probably closest to felt tip on paper, whereas the etched glass provides a smoother, less textured experience.

The Huion Kamvas 24 Series performs incredibly with drawing programs across the board. Although the place it really shines is in digital painting, it's also a pleasure to use in less pressure-sensitive contexts such as vector programs. The first thing that strikes you is the size – this is one big device! I had to remove the tablet from the outer delivery box on the floor as it would have been quite a difficult task on my desk! Those of you coming here after watching the accompanying video review may ask “Hey – what about the weird lagging I just saw – the lines were struggling behind the pen?” Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Agreement shall be submitted to be settled by the people’s court in the place where HUION is located, as per the laws of P. R. China. The pen is nice and light and is the latest HUION PW517 stylus incorporating their latest PenTech 3.0 technology. It has a nice non-slip rubber grip around the button area and is very comfortable in the hand. It’s obviously plastic, but feels quite well made. The driver software should be familiar to those who have other fairly recently released HUION products – it sports the current trendy ‘Dark Mode’ by default, but can actually be changed by going to ‘Settings’ >’General’ and choosing ‘Light’ if you prefer.
