Many of the poems 'spoke' to me personally, to the point I was brought to tears by the words and had to take several moments to let the words fully sink in. But I'm glad I read this in one sitting because the words in this book have so much passion, power and reaffirmation that it was impossible to just take a break from it. Shelby also makes excellent points about self-doubt, self-love, insecurity, and anxiety that I really relate to as someone who has been diagnosed with anxiety (and who struggles with self-esteem). With every new page, I wonder if the author somehow has followed me through life and narrated my thoughts and clumsy and awkward conversations. broken into two parts, the anchor and the sail, "changing with the tides" is a reminder to focus on yourself, embrace change, and trust your heart and mind to take you where you need to go. Mourning Tears’ takes us back to a more contemporary pace with an effortless liquid jungle track with funky breaks, rushing pads, catchy vocals and a soothing laid back bass. Because the game had no text, the story of the game and the background of the game's world are mostly communicated through the designs of various environmental assets.

Unlike the first game which is set in a world in which the ocean have dried up, Changing Tides is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which cities and civilizations have been flooded. Overall, this is a lovely collection that might help you through some hard times with its relatability and subtle warmth threaded throughout its words. I am picky with poetry, but I cannot ignore it when it is a direct mirror of myself looking back at me. The game had a minimum amount of text, and the player is expected to solve puzzles with little to no handholding.The author does an amazing job in capturing every word for each poem to make it more universal while still being so personal.
