Well what can I say, this book has really helped my niece when starting secondary school, her reviews were fantastic that I recommended it to my friend whose child was struggling in school and suffering from OCD at age 10, they’ve been reading it together each night and it’s made such a positive impact to her sleep routine in such a few short days. Written by the award-winning author and podcaster Elizabeth Day, this is a sensible, kind and practical tool for all teenagers (and adults! I obviously couldn’t relate to exams and friendships (I have neither of those things 😂) but the grief section was my favourite part of the book. Not only are these pretty vital if we want to function at our best, they’re also areas in which we can make changes and that’s key.

I recommended to a teacher that I know that copies of this be given to all the Year 7s (11-12 year olds) upon starting secondary school and she’s going to read my copy to see if she agrees, which I think she will. Highly recommend this for older primary and younger secondary age, and also maybe for an adult who just wants a simplified version of mental health and wellness.This audiobook provides all the scaffolding and practical techniques to help you do this, so though you might be having a hard time right now, you can look toward your future with optimism and positivity.
