About this deal

Sure, you have to dive right into this parallel historical country without trying to square up the details with true history, but isn’t that sometimes why we listen anyway? Konrad (H) was a typical hero of Alice Coldbreath's again, a grumpy knight who doesn't communicate well, does something stupid, and has to redeem himself. I don’t mean just the heroine, but absolutely everyone he encountered, he had some judgement ready in his head why they fell short in some way. Every slight against Aimee regarding her skin color/family background seems racially motivated, and I don’t think Alice did a good job of word building and setting up Aimee’s mother’s culture and background. As family loyalties and secrets unravel, Eloise realises that if she falls in love with Jeremy, she’s in danger of losing everything.

Please note these are all pure opinions, and I’m sure what I don’t like about this book is why someone does like this book. He continuously puts his wants above Amiee’s and for the life of me I don’t understand why she lets him. The Inferno Club: In public, this scandalous society of London aristocrats is notorious for pursuing all manner of debauchery.Despite being a third person novel each character still had their own way of speaking, so it was easy to get immersed in their perspective during each pov change. I always enjoy Alice Coldbreath's storytelling (even though I skip all the intimate scenes) because she's really good at writing a grumpy hero with a kind heart. He was standoffish until the very end of the book, and then I felt the development of his relationship with Aimee was rushed.

It's a grumpy/sunshine trope so it just seemed to go with her young and earnest, sunshiny character. Abandoned by the fiancée he adored, the man who once walked like a prince among London's elite secludes himself in his family's mansion, cursing his way through dark days and darker nights. Summary of the Storyline: When Aimee, the daughter of a very wealthy merchant, first watches Lord Kentigern compete in a tournament, she falls for him instantly and decides to try to secure a marriage with him. The journey nearly ends in disaster when Mathilde and her page friend Robin are chucked in jail, but Guy saves the day when he vouches for both of them.Desperate times lead to desperate acts, and Blake will do whatever is necessary to ensure her family survives. Brought up to believe she will "never make old bones" she lives a quiet and lonely existence, hiding away her excessive freckles and red hair from a world that believes her to be hideously misshapen and ugly. The descriptions of setting up a house, clothing, jewelry, and etiquette were all interesting and helped build in those finer details too.

It’s Beauty who sets events in motion for her own rescue, with Beast playing a star role- however, he’s not happy about it.PRINCE OLAF OF NORWAY—Lord of the Wolves, the golden Viking warrior who came in his dragon ship to forge a great kingdom in the Emerald Isle. Examples: Ursula (Aimee’s sister) and Renlow, Gerold (Aimee’s father) and Freda (Konrad’s cousin), Leonard and Sybil, Lord and Lady de Bussell and Lord and Lady de Crecy. Thinking she can outwit this condition, Brianna issues a the son who brings her a gift that makes her laugh will win her hand. However, the sheer number of secondary characters and details about them unfortunately made it, at times, seem like the purpose of this book was to establish characters and their stories for future books.

It‘s no secret that I love Alice Coldbreath’s writing… and therefore, this book was probably my most anticipated of the year. Helena Reynolds crossed the floor of the crowded taproom, her carpetbag clutched in her trembling hands. As soon as she caught her sister’s pet, Poppy swore she was going to alert the management of the Rutledge that Beatrix was harboring wild creatures in their family suite, which was definitely against . She was a strong character who went after what she wanted (in this case, marriage to Lord Kentigern), and she stuck with it even when things didn't turn out exactly like she thought they would. In file Uploading, ONUploads offers three fastest way to upload the file and generate the shareable link. It’s a bit of a small detail, but the blurb says Aimee is the oldest daughter, which contradicts what the book says. But here Aimee is very young and naive so she makes a lot of mistakes wooing her knight who feels 'bought and paid for. There we feel the care that the men have for the heroines even when they themselves don't realize it and I'm a sucker for that. This begins a series of misunderstandings and miscommunications between Aimee and Kentigern, with some serious blunders on his part.
