About this deal

It’s waterproof, featuring a Hipora three-layer, micro-porous silicone coated, waterproof and breathable membrane, which delivers superior levels of protection from the elements. This along with the heel vents keep you comfortable and dry during your ride. You’ve probably already figured out for yourself, that there is a huge amount of choice available when it comes to shopping for Boots. There are plenty of alternatives to RST Paragon 2 Boots to choose from. Our advice here is to take the time to set yourself a list of “must haves” and also set yourself a budget. That way you can narrow down your list without being overwhelmed with choice. Perforated Perforated Boots that feature perforations offer maximum airflow to keep the feet cool. (17)

However, the Paragon II fits me nicely so you might want to try a size larger than normal if you are considering a pair. I have owned the boots for two weeks and covered around 400 miles with a mix of commuting and weekend rides on a Shiver 750. Equipped with a breathable Hipora waterproof membrane, TPU-molded shin, ankle, and heel protectors, and an equally impressive level 2/1/1 CE certification, the Paragon’s are built to perform time and time again. The construction also features PU-coated leather and integrated heel vents to increase breathability and ensure that your feet stay dry and warm regardless of the conditions! There is no gaping at the top of the leg, thanks to excellent movement through the accordion panels at the front and the rear of the boot. The amount of armour on racing boots is usually greater than touring boots due to the increased potential for injury while racing. (14)I have fairly wide feet and the footbed – albeit thin – and the body of the boot also fit nicely, with no squeezing. I usually take an EU44 in motorcycle boots (UK 9.5 whereas I normally take a UK 9 in shoes) and in some boots, this can feel a little loose – I guess by virtue of the fact they are slightly larger than my actual foot size. Full-grain, PU coated, microfiber reinforced, what does it all mean, and which material should I choose? Full-Grain You can get cool-looking anodised coloured ones; ones with span adjusters; ‘shorty’ ones designed to be used just with your first two fingers as is particularly applicable to MX and dirt bikes; one that ‘fold’ so are less likely to break in a topple and much, much more.

Some Brands have specific Medium sizes, for example Roof, which can give a very accurate fit if you are that size, for example : Full-Grain leather refers to the strongest, most durable part of the hide located just beneath the hair. This type of leather lends itself perfectly to motorcycle boots as it’s more water-resistant and hard-wearing. PU CoatedConsider pairing them with a matching pair of RST gloves for extra style points at your next bike meet! The vents in the rear of the heel help to keep the foot cooler when the going gets hot and I find they don’t get too sweaty. A poorly fitting helmet may not only be uncomfortable, more noisy and may move around when riding if too big or give headaches etc if it is too small, it is also dangerous. A helmet simply will not protect or perform as designed if the head inside it is not snuggly fitted against the impact absorbing material inside the shell.

complete with ALL tags in place, helmet bag, manual, protective plastic on visor and any other associated parts supplied.

Know what these are and how they will protect your foot and you will be OK. They are nice three-season boots but aren’t really the tool for the job is you want to ride in very cold or wet conditions. But for cooler or rides where you may get a shower, then they are good. In addition to fitting well, they are also fairly light; both in physical terms and in how they feel on the bike. There is a definite sporty bias here, with good feel and not too warm. When dirty, RST boots are best cleaned using a soapy damp sponge or cloth. Never clean the boots with strong cleaning agents or solvents, always use mild cleaning agents to prevent weakening the materials and affecting the colour and finish of the plastic. After cleaning, use a cloth to wipe away any surface water and then place the boots on their sides to dry naturally. Do not attempt to dry the boots using excessive heat. Finish with a specialist leather careproduct. This particular boot has been designed with longevity in mind. The vulcanized rubber sole, double-stitching throughout, and a reinforced gear shift pad all ensure that you’ll be able to exploit these boots for multiple seasons without a second thought. The RST Paragon 2’s are the ultimate waterproof touring boots in this lineup. Designed to resist the elements with no compromises made when it comes to rider safety, they are arguably the perfect all-round solution to motorcycle footwear.

PU Coated Leather is created by bonding split leather (the bottom layer of hide) with Polyurethane. This is an artificial type of leather that is entirely waterproof when applied and treated correctly. Microfiber RST motorcycle boots offer a level of quality, safety, and performance unmatched by any other brand at this price point. For this reason, RST has become the go-to brand for many UK riders, and we’re in total agreement with them! Another concern is the protection. They are rated under the 2015 CE standard which uses three digits – a 1 or a 2. 1 is a basic pass and 2 is a superior pass. The later 2017 standard offers an additional number but this simply denotes the boot height – the first figure shows 1 for a short boot or 2 for a tall one. These are rated 2-1-1 which shows a superior pass for abrasion resistance but only basic passes for impact cut and transvers rigidity. One of the most tactile, touchy-feely parts of your bike are its control levers, for the front brake and clutch. But it’s also true that they’re one of the most vulnerable components in even a low-speed crash meaning that at some point, you may need to get replacement ones. Another thing to bear in mind, is that a helmet in say size Medium from one Manufacturer may fit completely differently to a Medium from another Manufacturer. Therefore we would always recommend travelling to a dealer to try a number of different brands to get the perfect fit for your head shape. The Hipora membrane also provides an impressive level of waterproofness while still providing your feet with an adequate amount of breathability. This culminates into a pair of boots that are both comfortable and fit for their job in equal measure.
