For the THETA V and THETA Z1, this function is available only for videos recorded while “Stitching during shooting” is OFF.

Using a newly developed lens unit which reduces ghosting, flare and purple fringe. Aperture mechanism is newly adopted with the selection of F2.1, F3.5 and F5.6. The Theta Z1 can shoot Raw+DNG. The DNG photos are saved as double circular fisheye photos. There are three ways the unstitched DNG photos can be stitched: (i) Lightroom and the Ricoh Stitcher plugin, the first of its kind in the 360 camera industry; (ii) PTGui version 11.3 or later, and (iii) the Theta Stitcher mobile workflow. The large 1 inch sensors inside the lenses of the Theta Z1 are definitely well placed to capture much improved low light images. The larger the sensor the more light the lens has to work with; this is why DSLR’s are much better at shooting in low light than your phone. If you are looking for an all in one 360 camera for shooting high quality virtual tours then the Theta Z1 is still the camera I recommend. The Z1 is capable of shooting very high quality images which can be further improved if you utilise the Dual Fish Eye Plugin. Considering the cost and ease of use this is the camera I would go to if I needed to create high quality virtual tours at volume.
