NOTHING WILL EVER BEAT “hi johnny” “hi shannon” AND THIS BOOK PROVED IT. i like the “nice legs” thing joey said to aoife but when they started calling each other stud and queen, i wanted to throw this book into a landfill Why did Aoife think it was a good idea to tell Joey she was pregnant when he was high, OFCOURSE HE WASN’T GOING TO REMEMBER I’m still not fully healed and I’m not sure I’m stable enough to put my thoughts into a decent review, but here are some random thoughts to explain how this book made me an unstable mess. Did I enjoy the book? Yes. But there were also many things that bothered me. I will start off by saying that I love both Joey and Aoife, but learning and reading about Joey after B13 and K13 was so heartbreakingly beautiful. It’s always the female characters that stand out to me in books and again while I love Aoife it was Joey for me that truly got me. I don’t have a story that mirrors his or know anyone personally that has suffered the way he had. I’m an empathetic person as many are, but reading about his journey was difficult at many times but so so special. Obviously, I knew everything was going to work out the way it was supposed to but the journey there was not easy. Joey Lynch is an amazing character.

That being said, I don't know what to make of Aoife as just... her, Aoife. It was almost like she was created specifically for Joey, which is amazing, but at times I wished that she became the main character of her own life, if you know what I mean. 👀Respectfully, as much as I love Joey as a character, I don't quite understand how and why she comes to a point (and it comes fast) when her life starts revolving around Joey. Does she even have much outside of her obsession with Joey? She's all about him, all over him and I don't think it's fair to her character. 💀 I'm glad that Aoife and Joey are just fictional characters because in real life girls with a savior complex rarely end up having a HEA. okay lastly i just want to talk ab joeylizzie MY LOVES. their friendship means the world to me. it was the best thing we got from this book imo. she saved his life and i never want anyone to talk down on her ever again. we riot at dawn if anyone talks shit ab her. but them being friends is something i never knew i needed 🫠🫶🏼 AND THE PREGNANCY TROPE?!?!? Someone, I'm BEGGING you, someone PLEASE explain to me the reason for having the pregnancy trope for JOEY OF ALL CHARACTERS. Was it to make sure that Joey was never allowed to truly be free and have an actual life?? Was it to force him to go from one forced parenting role to another?? Is he just destined to change diapers for the rest of his life?- Because those sound like really poor excuses to me. ESPECIALLY, considering that the pregnancy wasn't even brought up for the majority of the book. Aoife at one point literally forgot she was pregnant and that was my breaking point. I couldn’t mention them enough. I’m not sure I’m even slightly ready for Gibsie and Claire’s book. Honestly, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna embarrass myself by how I’d react when I finally have their book in my hands! THE BANTER between Joey and Aoife was everything. I loved their friendship, I loved the little games they played (their one word game 🥰), I loved how he keeps calling her “nice legs”, I loved how Aoife keeps pushing Joey into a friendship and later into a relationship with her. Girl knows what she is doing. 💅 Find yourself someone who'll love you as much as Aoife loves Joey, and you'll be saved and redeemed and saved and redeemed 💔 I think this baby will be good for him - a great motive to stay clean and make a better life for himself.

All the “Hey stud/Hey queen” moments? The “nice legs” comments even in the saddest times? The time he spent in rehab? I loved to see that. Inflation dropped significantly to 4.6% in October 2023 according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS). i felt like the whole book was rushed!! i rly wanted to see more of joey and aoife navigating through life being new parents and their struggles, i wanted to see how aoife was struggling to adjust to motherhood. a 4 months later epilogue and it’s not even from their pov is all we get like bffr. also i rly wanted to see more of joey’s time at tommen. this book should’ve been the aftermath of him leaving rehab and his recovery moving forward. Claire & Gibs?? Still not that crazy abt them but I can see why everyone els is. There another fear of mine. That Chloé is just gonna make Claire pine & wait for him her entire high school life. And have no personality outside of him. I see it tbh. I hope that’s not the case.i don't like how tony acted towards joey and i HATE that they named their child after him?? isn't he constantly cheating on trish??
