About this deal

What really confused us, and then confused us more when we looked at the (rather brief) instructions, was what happens if the finishing position that you are sat on then becomes occupied by another player’s piece. So if you are already sat there and someone else in the game, coming at them at right angles, sends then home. Do they then send you home? Are you aiming to get to the other player’s coloured squares, or the row in front of them? Home you go! – our verdict Whoever defeats the other by winning three times (coins or slaps) WINS. What Did The Kids Think Of The Slap Ninja Game The idea is simple. Two players sit across from each other. One is the ninja student and the other the master. The student has to try to sneak past the ninja master to press the coin held in the ninja’s left hand. Each time they manage to do so they score a point. Playing pieces can only move forwards, staying in their lanes, and how many spaces they can move is dictated by the roll of the die. If you land on a square occupied by an other piece then you say “Home you go!” and that players piece has to return to its starting square. You are able to move over and past opponent’s pieces if you throw enough to do so. Once opened the box contained an instruction leaflet and the Slap Ninja game. The game requires three AAA batteries which come included. What Age is Slap Ninja For?

Strangely the pair of them became quite an iconic couple with the man in question reaching some level of fame as Mr Mastermind. My searches online for more about the history of the game came across a fabulous article about the pair of them being reunited years later and talking about how they had no idea quite how iconic they would become. The kids had great fun playing Slap Ninja. The only real problem we had is that no matter who was the student they just kept winning. I’m not sure if that’s because I’ve managed to breed kids with natural ninja like skills, or just because they found the trigger squeezing hard work, but either way I was proud of my little ninjas!

Figuring out the rules

It’s a really great for all the family, and because the rules are simple and there are no pieces to remember and/or lose, it cuts down on fuss and upset. Browse the complete collection for more and enjoy playing any of these free online ninja games on your desktop and mobile devices. Players who roll a 7 can place a peg in any central hole, or in any hole in square number 7, including the central hole. If you roll a 12 you can place a peg anywhere on the board. Rolling a 2 allows you to remove an opponents peg and then roll again. The student’s aim is to press the red coin without getting a karate chop, AKA MASSIVE SLAP (it doesn’t hurt – I’m just being dramatic) from the master to win a point! Slap Ninja comes in a front open cardboard box attached at the with a couple plastic style ties, easily cut with sissors, a small plastic ties at the bottom.

The suspense element of the Slap Ninja game adds a competitive edge, which Fin particularly enjoys, especially against his dad and his sister. Described as being a game of cunning and logic, Master Mind is all about one player setting a code (made up from four coloured pegs) and their opposition trying to work out what it is. Each time they make an attempt to guess, the code maker scores their efforts to give them hints about what they should try next. Moose is heavily into all things ninja at the moment. He was therefore overjoyed to arrive home from school to find a brand new ninja focused game ready and waiting for him! What’s in the box? With the white pegs though there is no doubt that you don’t tell them which colours are the right ones, but just in the wrong position. Instead you just tell them how many of them there are. There’s no date on my copy of Superpuzzle, but I believe it to date from either the late 60s or early 70s. Certainly the days before people had phones or computers to entertain them on a wet Sunday afternoon. I’m pretty sure that most people my age played games in maths lessons at school that involved making pictures from some basic shapes. Either plastic ones if your school had a bit of money, or cut from paper or card if your school had a stretched budget. That’s basically what Superpuzzle from Spear’s Games is.
