The nude and orange finishes vary on both palettes, and Huda’s formula and texture are a lot creamier. On the other hand, Natasha has some buttery textures to live for! The brand initially described the formula as having “pearl pigments [that] provide rich color and sparkle,” and then later under “how to apply,” say to “apply the shades wet” for the “ultimate sparkling finish.” Note, the emphasis on the finish, not the pigmentation specifically. When the Palette of Pops first came out, they actually said to use it dry for “intense color payoff” or wet to “unleash the intensity and vibrancy of the shades” (which sounds like the dry application).

Thankfully we have some amazing dupes for the Bronze Seduction palette. First up is the MAC Cosmetics Art Library: Flame-Boyant. Just looking at the 2 you can see what an obvious dupe it is. If you’re looking for a palette even cheaper than Huda Beauty, the ColourPop California Love Palette is the one you need! It swatches almost identically to both the Natasha Denona and Huda palettes!Finding a budget dupe for both the Pat McGrath Subliminal Palette and the Smashbox Double Exposure proved a little more difficult. The colour story just exudes luxury with is always harder to find with budget makeup.

Sephora actually described the quad as a “sheer-topper” palette. With this particular set of pops, I actually didn’t find that a dampened brush significantly improved pigmentation–and two shades didn’t need the help–but where it came in handy was in the lay down of product, smoothing it out, and minimizing fallout during application and throughout wear. Aside from that, the main difference is that the Illamasqua palette only has one shimmer and the Biba palette has 4 shimmery metallic shades. Coated pigments – A powder coating technology where pigments are coated with a mix of silicones and emollient oils.

Purple is all about royalty and glamour. Mix it with bronze and gold, you’re good to go! You can see on the palettes that none of the purple shades is bright or out there.
