The writing is always good in a JT book so I cannot complain about it. I just needed more of JT’s delicious banter and couldn’t find it here as much as I wanted. Anyway, she have a great sense of humor because she also recommended me a ridiculous book. What do you get when you combine a deadly mafia assassin and a grieving almost-widow? Maybe a recipe for disaster but it worked oh so well in this book.

On the other side, some readers caution that the book contains sensitive subject matter such as kidnapping, abduction, torture, and assault, which can be triggers for some. A few readers found certain aspects of the writing unsatisfactory, such as dialogues and pacing. Five years later and Nat is still wearing her heart on her sleeve. Pining for answers to her questions which will never be answered, never giving her closure.
